Frequently Asked Questions
COOLSCULPTING
Cryolipolysis is a method of reducing localized fat that cools fat cells and destroys them. There are different brands of equipment that use cryolipolysis and COOLSCULPTING is one of them. The main and major differences between COOLSCULPTING and other cryolipolysis equipment on the market are:
- COOLSCULPTING is the only cryolipolysis treatment approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration);
- It is the only device with a temperature sensor, which prevents burns;
- It is the cryolipolysis treatment with the largest number of studies.
COOLSCULPTING is a minimally invasive medical treatment and is the only one approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), in the USA. Thousands of treatments and medical studies have been carried out on this technology, so it has been proven to be a safe and effective treatment.
The number of cryolipolysis sessions required depends on the initial state of the body and the desired results. Many patients only need one session to achieve the desired results, while others benefit from two treatment sessions. At your body assessment appointment, you will be presented with a treatment plan indicating the number of sessions required.
The price of cryolipolysis treatment depends essentially on the number of areas you wish to treat and whether you need one or more sessions. During the body assessment consultation, you will be presented with a treatment plan with the prices in question.
The duration of each session depends on the areas to be treated and the number of applications required. The treatment can last from 35 minutes to 1, 2 or more hours.
The results of COOLSCULPTING begin to be visible 4 weeks after the treatment, when the fat cells begin to be eliminated by the body. The final result can be seen after 12 weeks.
At the beginning of the treatment, when the applicator is placed, you will feel a cooling sensation, followed by numbness in the treated area. At the end of the cryolipolysis treatment, a massage is performed which may cause some temporary discomfort. You may feel numbness or slight pain for a few days, but it won’t interfere with your daily routine.
Being a non-invasive treatment, the risk of side effects is extremely low. Temporary numbness, mild pain, redness, itching and swelling may occur for a few weeks after treatment.
